PSU vs Michigan Football Roadtrip

Sorry for the late notice / posting of events. Here is a summary of information that we've gathered for the PSU-Michigan Football Roadtrip. We will not have any official gathering activity outside of the PSAA Tailgate; everyone is on their own for the remainder of time.

The site below has Pep Rally and parking info for the Michigan game. Some of the Friday events require reservations in advance.

A friend of the club recently sent us the following information about what to do and NOT do while in Ann Arbor:

Pizza:
Cottage Inn on the west side of campus. Usually a wait but good pie. Cottage Inn* $$ (Original: 512 E. William, 734-663-3379) The first restaurant in Ann Arbor to serve pizza, it opened in 1948. Since then they've grown to become a regional chain with over 50 locations, but it all started here in Ann Arbor. Excellent food with a large dining area. Their three other locations on campus include: 546 Packard, 2301 W. Stadium, 1141 Broadway.

College bar:
Good Time Charley's (1140 South University, 668-8411) Outdoor / indoor cafe, hamburgers, beer and shots. - CAUTION: MY MEMORIES ARE AS A 21 YEAR OLD AND EVERY TIME I GO BACK TO THIS BAR I ACT LIKE A 21 YEAR OLD.

Breakfast Hotspot:
Angelo's** $$ (1100 Catherine 1100 Street, 734-761-8996; near UM Hospital) Classic place everyone must visit at least once. The breakfast place in Ann Arbor. 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. most days and Sundays 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ALWAYS A WAIT. MUST GO!

Good bar across adjacent to campus:
Ashley's (338 S. State St., Ann Arbor, 996-0439) One of Michigan's best multi-tap establishments with 65 beers on draught.

Good Sports bar near Ashley's and Cottage Inn:
Score Keepers Sports Bar & Grill (310 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, 995-0100.) Large establishment on central campus featuring dancing, pool, darts...LOTS OF TVs

Popular lunch spot:
Zingerman's Deli* $$ (422 Detroit St, 734-663-3354) Make extremely large deli sandwiches, with fresh quality ingredients. Located north of central campus near Ann Arbor Farmers' Market in a historic building.

Do NOT go to:
  1. Touchdown Cafe (1220 South University, 734-665-7777) Huge sports bar located on campus; dancing, DJ's. - ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE SPOILED BEER.
  2. Rick's American Cafe is a nightclub where we used to hangout. Been about 5 years since I have been there. Local bands. Loud.
