Why You Should Join

    Did you know that there are over 1800 Penn State alumni in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin? This year the Minnesota Chapter is looking to win the annual award for membership improvement that is granted by the Penn State Alumni Association. Each year the Alumni Association grants a cash award to a local chapter that shows significant growth in membership, scholarship activities, or other philanthropic projects. Our Chapter has never won this award; often they go to the East Coast chapters. Let's have some Midwest represenation. Join the Chapter today!

    The chapter has many new activities planned for the coming year. You can locate a calendar of events by clicking on the Events tab located at the top of the page.

    For just $25 a year per household you can join the Penn State Alumni Association Minnesota Chapter and be part of the best alumni association in Minnesota. To make it easy for you to join, we have included a link to the Membership Form below.     With your membership fee and contribution to our annual scholarship fund, the Minnesota Chapter will be able to continue awarding over $5,000 annually through our scholarship to one or more deserving future Penn Staters.

  1. Local Weatherman, Paul Douglas, formerly of WCCO, is a Penn Stater(aka Douglas Paul Kruhoeffer ('80)
  2. Rumor has it, local alum and former PSU football player, Bob Urban, accepted the Lambert Trophy on behalf of Joe Paterno several years ago when a snow storm prevented JoePa from making it to the award ceremony.
  3. Larissa Minicucci was honored as Homecoming Queen during her college days.
